Connection

How we hook it up

Connection through the CNC output or the torch control depending on the version. Pilot-arc models only.

  1. 01

Clamp the ArcDroid to the table and plug in its power supply.

  2. 02

Connect the cutter's CNC or torch output to the ArcDroid controller.

  3. 03

Fit your torch in the universal holder and tighten both clamps.

  4. 04

Run the guided calibration on screen: height probing, arc-start test, arc-voltage setting.

  5. 05

Trace or import your first part. Cut.

In practice

Cutting with a Jasic on the ArcDroid

What the ArcDroid controls

On Jasic units fitted with a CNC output, the ArcDroid fires the arc and reads the divided arc voltage: the torch height adjusts itself during the cut. On versions without a CNC output, it wires to the torch trigger and cuts at a fixed height after probing the sheet.

Starting settings

Set the amperage on the Jasic for the thickness, as you would for hand cutting. Speed, pierce height and cut height are set on the ArcDroid's screen, with no computer. Our reference values by thickness and amperage are in the guide.

Before you order

Three checks are enough: the exact model reference of your Jasic, the start type (pilot arc or contact, never HF) and whether it has a CNC output or an accessible torch trigger. In doubt? Send us a photo of the rating plate.

Questions

Jasic and ArcDroid

My Jasic Cut 40 (HF)?

Not compatible: high-frequency start disturbs the electronics. A pilot-arc Cut 45 is the natural replacement.

Does automatic torch height control work with a Jasic?

Yes on versions fitted with a CNC output (divided arc voltage). On the others, the ArcDroid cuts at a fixed height after probing the sheet — perfect on a flat sheet.

Can I keep my Jasic hand torch?

Yes. The hand torch mounts in the ArcDroid's universal holder with no modification: two clamps to tighten, and you have it back in your hand just as quickly for hand cutting.
