The principle
How it works.
Trace.
Follow a template, an existing part or a sketch with the supplied probe stylus. Point by point for straight lines, holes and curves: the robot redraws the part on the Simple Trace™ tablet. You can also cut your own DXF and G-code files.
Cut.
Fit your plasma torch in place of the stylus and it is ready to cut! Up to 5,000 mm/min on steel, stainless and aluminium. Automatic height control on every cut, no material thickness to set.
Repeat.
Your trace is saved in the tablet: repeat the cut as many times as you like.
Your turn
You trace. It cuts.
Draw your part on the sheet with the mouse, or cut the one already traced.

The questions we get asked.
Do I need a plasma cutter?
Yes. ArcDroid drives your plasma cutter, it doesn't include one. You need a model with a non-high-frequency start (pilot arc or contact start). Check your brand and model in the compatibility checker, or call us.
What area can it cut?
660 × 380 mm per position. The machine repositions in seconds to continue a larger cut, and the X2 module extends the width to 1,200 mm across three indexed positions.
What thicknesses?
That depends on your plasma cutter: ArcDroid cuts whatever your torch cuts. A 45 A unit cuts cleanly up to 12 mm of steel; a 105 A unit goes past 25 mm.
Can I import a DXF file?
Yes, via USB stick. ArcDroid reads DXF files and standard G-code. Post-processors exist for Fusion 360, SheetCAM, QCAD/CAM, Pronest and Estlcam.
