Of the seven criteria, only one calls for the X2 option: very large sheets.

In detail

Five criteria, no spin.

01

The all-in price

A 1,500 × 3,000 CNC plasma table costs €8,000 to €15,000 new — without the cutter, the computer, the CAD/CAM software, the extraction or the training. ArcDroid: €2,690 incl. VAT, plus the plasma cutter you already own. It fits on a bench and stores in a cover.

02

Space and installation

A table takes 4 to 6 m² of floor and never moves again. ArcDroid takes 50 cm on a table, sits on the sheet itself if needed, and goes to site in the boot of a car. Setup: five minutes, no rail levelling.

03

Software and training

A table imposes the drawing → CAM → G-code → control chain, so a computer, licences and a few days to get up to speed. ArcDroid is driven from its screen: trace a template, cut. An hour is enough. And if you already draw in DXF, it reads those too.

04

Large sheets

This is the real advantage of a table: a 3 m sheet is cut in one go. ArcDroid covers 660 × 380 mm per position, 1,200 mm wide with the X2 module, and repositions for the rest. If you nest full 1,500 × 3,000 sheets all day, the table remains the right tool.

05

Accuracy and repeatability

On both machines, the part comes out in the same place every time, with the same cut quality: that of your torch and consumables. ArcDroid adds what no table does: reproducing an existing part without ever drawing it.

In short

You cut parts under 1.2 m, often one-offs or small batches, and you have neither the space nor the appetite for a computer workstation? ArcDroid. You nest full sheets all day? A table. Many workshops have both: the table for batches, the ArcDroid for everything urgent.

Not sure? Bring a part.

At the Oberentzen workshop we trace and cut it in front of you. You leave with it.
